The  skin has various components like elastin and collagen, that take care to maintain firmness. When the body starts to lose these, it also loses elasticity, therefore sagging appears. The alteration of both these elements can be attributed to various factors,like the an unbalanced diet, hormonal problems, lack of exercise, large loss of weight. Genetic factor can also be an influence. Bad habits like, smoking, excessive exposure to the sun can also cause loss of collagen and elastin causing the aparition of sagging.
