Consists of injecting into the interior of the vein a substance that produces an inflammation in the walls of the small vein, and this causes its closure. Later it converts into a sclerosed cord that is absorbed in a few weeks.
The majority of patients tolerate this technique very well,some refer to a small burning sensation that disappears in a few minutes.
The number of sessions depends on the number of veins to be treated, and although many patients experience an improvement after the first session, the majority need to treated between 4 and 5 times to reach optimum results.
